BACOLOD City – Police Colonel Rizalito Gapas was designated as acting director of Negros Oriental Police Provincial Office (Norppo) effective August 9.
Police Brigadier General Debold Sinas, director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-7, issued the order last Friday.
According to Police Chief Master Sergeant Edelberto Euroba, public information officer of Norppo, Gapas, who came from Pasig City as city police chief is expected to arrive in the province this week.
He will assume the post of Police Colonel Angelito Dumangeng, who was temporarily assigned in a concurrent capacity as officer-in-charge of Norppo on July 31.
Dumangeng, who is also deputy regional director for operations of PRO-7 was previously assigned as Norppo officer-in-charge, following the relief of Police Colonel Raul Tacaca over the spate of killings in the province last month.
With the new order, Dumangeng will return to his original designation at the regional headquarters, Euroba said.
