Negros Occidental registers nearly 7,000 new BSKE voters
Nearly 7,000 residents in Negros Occidental registered to vote in the fifth week of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) registration drive for the 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, according to Comelec–Negros Occidental. Comelec’s Week 5 Registration Output report recorded a total of 6,796 new voters since the nationwide registration period reopened.

Nearly 7,000 residents in Negros Occidental registered to vote in the fifth week of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) registration drive for the 2026 Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, according to Comelec–Negros Occidental.
Comelec’s Week 5 Registration Output report recorded a total of 6,796 new voters since the nationwide registration period reopened.
Bacolod City logged the highest number of new registrants, with 1,707 applicants.
Among the province’s six congressional districts, the 1st District led with 1,432 new voters, followed by the 6th District with 1,348, the 2nd District with 718, the 3rd District with 690, the 5th District with 561, and the 4th District with 342.
Comelec also reported that more women registered than men during Week 5, with 3,730 female applicants compared to 3,066 male registrants.
