BACOLOD CITY — Provincial Election Supervisor Atty. Ian Lee Ananoria confirmed that all winning candidates in Negros Occidental, including Bacolod City, have been officially proclaimed following the May 12, 2025, midterm elections.
Reelected Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and Vice Governor Jose Benito Alonso received fresh mandates for their third and second terms, respectively.
Elected members of the Provincial Board include Laurence Marxlen Dela Cruz and Araceli Somosa (1st District), Arthur Christopher Marañon and Sixto Guanzon Jr. (2nd District), Andrew Gerard Montelibano and Atty. Hope Marie Sazon (3rd District), Patricia Paula Valderrama and Nicholas Yulo (4th District), Hadji Trojillo and Dr. Rita Angela Gatuslao (5th District), and Gerardo Alvarez IV and Jeffrey Tubola (6th District).
Winning congressional representatives are Rep. Julio Ledesma IV (1st District), Alfredo Marañon III (2nd), Javier Miguel Benitez (3rd), Jeffrey Ferrer (4th), Atty. Emilio Bernardino Yulo III (5th), and Atty. Mercedes Alvarez (6th), along with Bacolod City Lone District Rep. Alfredo “Albee” Benitez.
Marañon, Alvarez and Yulo are serving their second terms, while Ledesma, Ferrer and the Benitezes are first-term lawmakers.
All elected mayors across the province’s 32 localities, including Bacolod City Mayor Greg Gasataya, have also been proclaimed.
According to the provincial Commission on Elections, Negros Occidental had 2,009,564 registered voters, including Bacolod City.
Voter turnout reached 83.22%, with 1,369,632 individuals casting their votes.
