BACOLOD CITY – A “hugot” video clip featuring Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, posted on his social media page, has garnered 3 million views.
“It’s the other side of me,” Lacson told reporters when asked to comment on the milestone.
He said people often perceive him as serious, even “suplado” (standoffish).
“I also have a funny side,” the governor added.
The video shows the governor signing papers while a secretary is on the phone, with no one answering the call.
The governor quipped, “Indi na siya busy, indi ka lang niya priority” (She’s not busy, you’re just not her priority).
The video clip registered 3.5 million plays with over 51.1,000 shares and 22,000 reactions.
Another video clip of Lacson, this time featuring Negros Oriental Governor Chaco Sagarbarria, was posted on Saturday and is quickly approaching 700K views.
In this video, Sagarbarria says in Cebuano, “Paita, gina view ra ang imo my day” (It’s tough, they’re just viewing your story).
Lacson humorously retorts, “Te, ga assume ka nga may gusto siya sa imo” (You’re assuming she likes you).
The two then high-five each other.
Earlier, when asked if he plans to make more videos, the governor said, “I am beginning to like it.”
