BACOLOD CITY – Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson led the ceremonial turnover of 20 land titles to qualified recipients of the Provincial Government’s housing and livelihood programs on Monday, October 28.
The recipients, from Minoyan Resettlement Site, Capitol Kabugwason Homes, Paglaum Village Housing, and Minoyan Farm Lot, received their titles during a ceremony at the HOD Conference Room, Provincial Capitol, facilitated by the Provincial General Services Office.
The project reflects the provincial government’s commitment to supporting the community by enhancing access to housing and land ownership.
Lacson emphasized that the land provides a foundation for stability and growth, from farm lots aimed at sustainable agricultural livelihoods to residential lots offering housing security for dedicated provincial government employees.
The Kabugwason Resettlement Site was established as a relocation area for informal settlers from Barangays 6, 7, and 8 in Bacolod City, who were previously occupying provincial government-owned properties.
Board Member Valentino Miguel Alonso, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, and PGSO Head Arnel Argusar were among the officials present at the event.
