BACOLOD City – The province of Negros Occidental has the most number of coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) active cases in the region.
The province also recorded the highest number of newly confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in the region in the last five days of October until Nov 1, 2020.
Based on data from the Department of Health Region-6 on Nov 1, Negros Occidental has 1,574 COVID-19 active cases out of 4,692 confirmed cases, followed by Iloilo City with 590 out of 4,021 confirmed cases, and Iloilo province with 494 out of 2,057.
Bacolod City has the highest number of confirmed cases at 4,811 but with only 283 active cases.
Capiz has 135 active cases out of 868 total confirmed cases, Aklan has 16 active cases out of 153, Guimaras has 8 active cases out of the 70, and Antique has 6 active cases out of the 73 confirmed cases.
