Earlier, Iloilo City and other local government units in various areas of the country had lifted curfew hours in their respective areas, following improvement in their anti-COVID-19 campaign and lessening number of active cases.
Lacson said he is proposing a new schedule of curfew hours, which will start from 12 midnight to 4 a.m. the next day, and will cover adults.
However, curfew hours for minors will be at 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.
An executive order retaining curfew hours within the province this week will be issued.
Meanwhile, Lacson said persons with comorbidities and senior citizens will be prioritized in availing of COVID-19 booster shots.
The Capitol is awaiting the green light from the national government to start administering booster shots.
The Department of Health said it plans to start administering the third dose by November 15.
Negros Occidental has a total of 367,775 of 1,825,370 target individuals who are already fully vaccinated against COVID-19, while about 475,000 got their first doses.
The provincial government is targeting 1,825,370 of its 2.6 million population of Negros Occidental to be vaccinated, in order to achieve herd immunity in the fight against COVID-19.
