Negrense shooting guard Jeff Manday is officially playing in the big boys’ league after earning his contract with the San Miguel Beermen.
However, the Bacolod native will not team up with June Mar Fajardo, Alex Cabagnot, and Terrence Romeo because he will be suiting up for the team’s 3×3 squad.
Manday is Colegio de Santa Ana de Victorias’ superstar and led the school to countless basketball championship trophies including an epic 2019 UNIGAMES title after leading his pack against the heavily-favored Enderun College in Manila.
The crafty Manday put the team on his back and spearheaded a comeback for the ages after being down 16-1 against the tough Enderun team.
Manday also played for several commercial basketball leagues here in Iloilo City and was a part of the championship roster of DPWH who won the crown during the 2019 Dinagyang Cup.
In the recent 2021 PBA Draft, the Beermen picked Manday in the sixth round and was the only rookie signed by the team after the event.
Manday began participating in the team’s online workouts since getting drafted and will now reap the fruits of his labor when the PBA 3×3 tournament kicks off.
