BACOLOD CITY – A summa cum laude graduate of Binalbagan Catholic College (BCC) in Binalbagan, Negros Occidental, ranked second in the May 2024 Licensure Examination for Certified Public Accountants (CPA).
Joseph Mag-aso Jr. garnered a rating of 90.50 percent in the examination. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Accountancy last year.
BCC lauded Mag-aso and four other graduates on its Facebook page: Harren Gabriel Patano and Ren Leuter Aride, both magna cum laude graduates, and Eunilyn Martinez and Jewel Loise Esposo, who also passed the CPA licensure examination.
In a statement, Fifth District Representative Emilio Yulo III commended Mag-aso for his achievement. “Isa kagid nga maga serbi nga inspirasyon sa aton mga graduating students” (You are one of those who will serve as an inspiration to the graduating students), Yulo said.
The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced that 3,155 out of 10,421 candidates passed the CPA licensure examination given by the Board of Accountancy in NCR, Baguio, Butuan, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, Zamboanga, and Puerto Princesa, Palawan, last month.
