BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said the provincial government is sending P4 million in cash assistance to the provinces of Albay, Catanduanes, Cagayan, and Isabela that were hit by massive floods due to recent typhoons Rolly and Ulysses.
The assistance was approved during the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC) Meeting held at the Capitol Social Hall Wednesday.
Each of the affected province will receive P1 million from Negros Occidental, in coordination with their respective local government units.
The council also approved the P156,520,000 worth of programs, projects, and activities to be funded under the 2021 PDRRM fund which prioritized the necessary emergency preparedness and response programs.
All approved agenda will be endorsed to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
