BACOLOD City – The proposed 2020 budget of the Negros Occidental provincial government is P4.4 billion.
The proposal is almost 10 percent higher compared to the 2019 budget of P4.002 billion.
Lawyer Maki Ascalon, Sangguniang Panlalawigan secretary, said on Thursday that they received the proposed 2020 provincial budget from the Office of Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson on Wednesday.
The budget source includes P3.7 billion from the Internal Revenue Allotment, P192 million from the income of the economic enterprise, while the rest is from the local income of the provincial government.
The deliberations on the budget starts this month.
