The most wanted person of La Carlota City in Negros Occidental was arrested afternoon of Sept 28, 2020 in Carles, Iloilo.
Antonino Abelita, Jr., 40, was collared at Barangay Bolo, Carles exactly a year and a day after his arrest warrant was issued.
The arresting team was composed of the PNP Anti-Kidnapping Group Iloilo-Bacolod Satellite Office (AKG-IBSO) and the Regional Intelligence Unit 6 (RIU-6), together with Carles Police Station, La Carlota City Police Station, and the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company.
Judge Mila Yap-Camiso of the Regional Trial Court 6 (RTC-6) Branch 74 in La Carlota City issued the arrest warrant against Abelita for five counts of rape in Criminal Case Nos. 5797-5801.
No bail was set for his temporary freedom.
Abelita is now in the custody of Carles Police Station.
