BACOLOD City – On top of gift packs, the provincial government of Negros Occidental will give P5,000 gratuity pay to each of the 1,740 Contract of Service (CoS) and Job Order (JO) workers, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz said on Monday.
Diaz also announced that the additional P40,000 bonus for Capitol regular and plantilla casual employees will be released before Dec. 15.
The provincial government of Negros Occidental is looking into Performance Based Bonus (PBB), as a component for granting an extra bonus to Capitol employees in January 2023.
Diaz said that the gift packs for CoS and JO workers, composed of rice, canned goods, and spaghetti, came from his personal funds and that of Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson.
The ceremonial gift-giving for the JO and CoS workers will be held today, Dec 13.
On the other hand, the provincial government will officially turn on the Christmas lights and decorations at the Provincial Capitol building, lagoon, and park today, which coincided with the birthday of Gov. Lacson.
Diaz also said that Lacson will also lead the gift-giving activity after reading stories with Boys and Girls Home-based children, and other kids at the Capitol skating rink, which is now well-lighted and further improved.
The children’s playground, which is being improved by the provincial government, will be one of the main attractions, not just during the holiday season, but the entire year as well.
