ROXAS CITY, Capiz — The alleged No. 12 Regional Most Wanted Person of the National Capital Region (NRC) was arrested Thursday afternoon at the National Housing Authority (NHA) in Brgy. Timpas, Panitan, Capiz.
Police identified the suspect as Nicholas Dimagiba, 38, of San Francisco, Del Monte, Quezon City but temporarily residing in said barangay.
According to police reports, Dimagiba is facing a murder charge.
Judge Juris Dilinica Calanta of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 85 issued the arrest warrant with no bail.
Dimagiba is presently detained at the Panitan Municipal Police Station.
Meanwhile, a 28-year-old person was arrested by the police for possession of unlicensed firearm Thursday morning at Brgy. Binuntucan Pontevedra, Capiz.
Now detained at the Pontevedra Municipal Police Station is Russel Talaga of Brgy. Yatingan also in Pontevedra town.
Police received information from two caretakers of Hacienda Consing, Rolly Degala and Noel Bitoon, about alleged illegal logging activities in the area.
Degala and Bitoon later saw Talaga holding a 12-gauge shotgun.
The two immediately sought help from police who arrested the suspect.
