The NCAA committee is planning to move its 96th season-opening to November instead of July for COVID-19 safety measures.
Colegio de San Juan Letran, the host school for the season, is currently mapping out the best options for the NCAA to approve.
“We will submit the NCAA continuity plan. Sana within the week, maayos na yan,” said Letran athletic director Fr. Vic Calvo, OP.
However, the league is still weighing things and intricately planning the timeline for the 96th season to avoid conflict with other events.
Also, the organizing committee can’t decide right away because they are still going to follow what the national government will say amid the pandemic.
“We cannot decide yet until final na ang decision ng Malacañang,” said NCAA management committee chairman Peter Cayco.
