BACOLOD City – The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI)-Bacolod is investigating the alleged sudden disappearance of a woman here last month.
According to NBI Bacolod head Renoir Baldovino, the family of 28-year-old Novie Andico asked their help to look into her case.
Andico’s family reported to the police early this month that she went missing on November 19, the same day that the alleged abduction of an unidentified woman happened at Lacson street here.
Police earlier dismissed the alleged abduction report after the Land Transportation Office (LTO) said that the car plate of the sports utility vehicle used by the unidentified perpetrators does not exist in its record.
However, with such development, police are investigating if Andico was also the victim of the alleged abduction.
Baldovino said he already assigned an agent to focus on the case.
Captain Leo Estopa, head of Police Station 2, said they already collected some reports to help them in their investigation.
