October will be a busy month for the NBA. If the schedule for the season restart goes as planned, Game 7 of the NBA Finals could be held on Oct. 13, followed by the draft on Oct. 16 and then free agency almost immediately following.
ESPN and The Athletic first confirmed the dates for the return of the NBA which will kick-off this July 31 (PH time) at the Disney campus in Orlando, Florida.
Those who are interested to join in the NBA Draft should confirm their presence by August 17 and will have until October 6 to submit their draft request.
Meanwhile, NBA commissioner Adam Silver previously announced that all players should also confirm their participation to the NBA restart in Orlando by June 24.
Those who will miss the games in Orlando will lose 1.1 percent of their salary for each missed match to a limit of only 14 games of inactivity.
However, those who have excused absences or were forced not to play because of health issues would not face a pay cut from their respective clubs.
