The Philippine Statistics Authority-Guimaras sustained mobile National ID registration operations in Nueva Valencia and Jordan, Guimaras, from May 27 to 28, 2026, under the “Bringing Public Services Faster and Closer to People” campaign.
The activity was conducted in response to Office Memorandum No. 2026-118, which directed all field offices to intensify mobile National ID registration activities.
“The operation formed part of PSA’s continuing efforts to bring government services directly to communities, particularly to residents who experience difficulty accessing fixed registration centers due to distance, transportation limitations, and mobility concerns,” Provincial Statistics Officer Nelida B. Losare said.
On May 27, National ID Guimaras personnel conducted house-to-house registration in Barangay Cabalagnan, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras.
The team successfully registered four individuals under the National ID system, including senior citizens and residents living in geographically isolated areas.
One resident, Lorey Ann Geonanga of Barangay Cabalagnan, expressed appreciation after her elderly parent was successfully registered through the house-to-house activity.
According to Geonanga, the initiative greatly helped elderly residents who have difficulty traveling outside their community to avail themselves of government services.
“Daku gid nga bulig gid ini para sa amon, labi na sa mga senior citizen nga budlay magbiyahe,” she shared.
On May 28, National ID Guimaras personnel were invited to provide National ID services during the “Serbisyo sa Barangay” program organized by the Municipality of Jordan in Barangay Rizal, Jordan, Guimaras.
During the activity, six individuals were successfully registered under the National ID system, while six clients were assisted through National ID issuance services.
“Also, three (3) registrants were successfully accommodated through real-time National ID issuance services and immediately received their printed National IDs (paper form) after registration, while one (1) client was accommodated for demographic information updating,” Losare said.
The activity also highlighted the growing importance of the National ID among young beneficiaries.
Eloi Elizza B. Gando of Barangay Rizal, Jordan, said obtaining a National ID would help with school transactions, opening bank accounts, and other future legal requirements.
She also encouraged residents to avail themselves of the free National ID services, emphasizing that the National ID is permanent and widely accepted for faster and more convenient transactions.
The National ID system, established under Republic Act No. 11055, serves as the government’s central identification platform for Filipino citizens and resident aliens.
Registered individuals may also access their Digital National ID through the official National ID website or the eGovPH app, while the authenticity of the ID may be verified through National ID eVerify.
Through the two-day outreach operation, residents accessed National ID services within their communities, reducing transportation expenses and travel time while strengthening public awareness of the benefits of the National ID system.
“PSA-Guimaras continues to reaffirm its commitment to delivering accessible, inclusive, and people-centered frontline services through sustained mobile outreach activities across the province,” Losare said.
