The Iloilo Mark V. Pinggol (MVP) taekwondo gym proved why they are one of the best after dominating in the 2020 SMART/MVPSF Online National Taekwondo CPJ Championships.
Fresh from their dominant 2020 Visayas Interschool Online Poomsae stint where they won 20 gold medals, the Iloilo MVP gym is back once again and is still laser-focused on getting the job done.
Three prized MVP jins were able to clinch medals while seven managed to make it to the top 10 of their respective categories.
The ever-consistent Cyd Edryc Esmaña nabbed the silver medal in the cadet male blackbelt category, Glaiza Fae Cordero was able to get the bronze in the gradeschool female blackbelt while Justin Adrian Apura got the same medal as Cordero in the gradeschool male blackbelt category.
Meanwhile Julianna Martha Uy, Clyde Anthony Chua, Joshua Cachero, Niesha Kariz Pequierda, Jilyn Rose Yap, Geon Ivan Dulaca, and Crisgel Castro edged the other jins and were able to squeak into the top 10 rankings of their respective categories.
The national online poomsae tournament is supported by the Philippine Taekwondo Association (PTA), the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC), the Philippine Sports Commission (PSC), and SMART.
