ROXAS CITY Capiz – The No. 1 most wanted person in Roxas City who has been in hiding for 16 years was arrested by police in Carles, lloilo.
The Roxas City police collared John Michael Aranza, 33, of Barangay Baybay here for the crime of murder.
The warrant of arrest was issued by then Judge Edward Contreras of Regional Trial Court, Branch 19, Roxas City.
According to Police Master Sergeant Ramil Arcangeles, spokesperson of the Roxas City PNP, it took 16 years before they could nab Aranza who is accused of stabbing to death a certain Henry Bernada in 2003.
Bernada’s sister Michelle Arcega lauded Aranza’s arrest as it will give justice to the victim’s death.
