Two hot teams on a roll are on a collision course today in the MPBL Lakan Cup at Bataan People’s Center.
The Iloilo United Royals will take on the Mindoro Tamaraws in an expected slugfest, as both teams are looking to protect their winning streaks.
Both squads are matched up perfectly, coming off impressive performances to the surprise of the MPBL community.
The run-and-gun system of the United Royals will be put to the test by the half-court set plays of Mindoro. With both teams looking to play at their own pace, controlling the tempo of the game would be at a premium.
Samboy De Leon going up against Mac Baracael would be an anticipated matchup, with both players having the ability to create their shot anywhere on the court.
United Royals head coach Eric Gonzales will miss the game as he serves the first of his 2-game suspension. Assistant coach Nash Racela will take the reins in his absence.
