After the shocking announcement made by premier boxing organization ALA Promotions and gym, the Manny Pacquiao (MP) Promotions will be answering the call to those boxers released after the shutdown.
Although the elite boxing promotions already bared that the last fighter they will add to their pool before the year ends is the Tokyo-Olympics bound Eumir Marcial, MP president Sean Gibbons said they will be discussing things to help the ALA boxers in the process.
“I am going to see what we can do to help out a few of those boxers,” Gibbons said when asked about the closing of ALA.
In a statement released by ALA Promotions following their closing, ALA stated, “All of our fighters will be released so they can look for greener pastures for their respective careers.”
Affected by the ALA crisis are former WBO Super Flyweight Champion Donnie “Ahas” Nietes, Milan Melindo, Jonas Sultan, and Jason and Albert Pagara.
As of now, no statement has been released by MP Promotions if they will absorb all boxers from ALA or they will only be picking a few.
