ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A motorcycle rider died after a bus hit him Saturday morning, April 18, in Barangay Nasunogan, Dao, Capiz.
Police identified the victim only as alias Dionesio, a resident of Barangay Matinabus, Sigma, Capiz, and said he was of legal age.
He was declared dead on arrival at Sen. Gerardo Roxas Memorial District Hospital in Dao.
A police investigation said the Ceres bus was headed to Cuartero town while the victim was traveling from Barangay Manhoy, Dao.
Investigators said the victim suddenly made a U-turn, leading to the collision.
The impact threw the victim from the motorcycle and caused fatal injuries to different parts of his body.
Police said the motorcycle was pinned under the front tire of the bus.
The Dao Municipal Police Station is continuing its investigation.
Police have taken custody of both the Ceres bus and the motorcycle for proper disposition.
