ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A motorcyclist died after colliding with a jeep Monday noon, March 2, in Brgy. Lawaan, Roxas City, police said.
Police identified the victim as alias “Ne,” 56.
The jeep driver was identified as alias “Donjie,” a resident of the area, police said.
An investigation by the Roxas City police said the vehicles were headed toward Brgy. Bolo when a man suddenly crossed the road.
Police said the motorcyclist lost control and fell onto the concrete road.
He was then hit by the jeep, which was behind him, police said.
The victim suffered fatal injuries and was taken to a hospital by the Bureau of Fire Protection’s Special Rescue Force in Roxas City, police said.
The victim was treated but died around 2 p.m. the same day, police said.
Police said they are investigating the incident, and that the jeep and its driver were in police custody for proper disposition.
