BACOLOD CITY – A 29-year-old motorcyclist lost his life after an accident in a sugarcane field in Barangay 1-A, Manapla, Negros Occidental on Easter Sunday.
The victim was identified by the police as Kier John Dela Peña from Barangay Purisima.
Town Police Chief Police Major Robelito Mariano reported that Dela Peña was believed to have been speeding home when he misjudged his speed on a curve in the road.
Mariano noted that Dela Peña was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
He was subsequently pronounced dead at the hospital, added Mariano.
