ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A man was killed after the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pickup truck on the evening of Nov. 4 in Pontevedra, Capiz.
Police Captain Dennis Losbañes, Pontevedra police chief, identified the victim as alias “Noy,” a legal-aged resident of Barangay Olalo, Pilar, Capiz.
The driver of the pickup truck was identified as alias “Dodo,” 48, of President Roxas, Capiz.
According to police reports, the motorcycle was headed toward the town proper when the pickup truck suddenly pulled out onto the highway, causing the victim to swerve and crash into the concrete pavement.
The victim sustained fatal injuries to the head and other parts of his body.
He was immediately assisted by the Pontevedra Emergency Response Team and brought to Bailan District Hospital, where he was declared dead on arrival.
The pickup truck driver and the vehicle involved are currently in the custody of the Pontevedra Police Station for proper disposition.
