BACOLOD City – A motorcycle rider was killed after he crashed into a trailer truck at Purok Kamansi, Circumferential road, Barangay Banago here on Tuesday night.
Police identified the victim as Ruben Canayan, 39, of Barangay Felisa here.
Based on police investigation, Canayan reportedly crashed into the left rear side of a truck driven by a 62-year-old man.
The truck was parked on the roadside with no early warning device, according to the police.
The victim succumbed to head injuries.
Police Major Armilyn Vargas, head of Police Station 3, said that both parties have reached an amicable settlement.
