BACOLOD City – A man died after his motorcycle crashed into a tricycle in Barangay Mandalagan here last Sunday.
The victim was identified as Lemwel Lumawag, 25, of the said village.
Police Captain Armilyn Vargas, head of Police Station 3, said Lumawag was tailing a tricycle driven by Mark Anthony Desucatan, 32, of Barangay 18 here.
Lumawag, however, was allegedly speeding and drunk when he hit Desucatan’s tricycle.
Vargas said the victim later passed away due to head injuries.
Both parties had an initial settlement.
Desucatan will be released from police custody after the lapse of the reglementary detention, she added.
