BACOLOD City – A motorcycle rider died after colliding with a sedan at Purok Mainuswagon, Barangay Alijis here last Saturday.
Killed in the accident was Eljun De Vera, 24, of Sta. Rosa, Murcia, Negros Occidental, according to the police.
Investigation disclosed that a sedan driven by Jose Catalan Jr., 54, of Barangay Handumanan here, was executing a left turn, when the accident occurred.
De Vera suffered serious injuries that caused his death.
Captain Elmer Bonilla, head of Police Station 7, said that Catalan was released from police custody, following a settlement between both parties, and after the lapse of his reglementary detention.
