BACOLOD City – A motorcycle rider succumbed to head injuries after he fell into a canal at Barangay Mansablay, Isabela, Negros Occidental last Saturday.
Police Captain Ryan Villasario, town police chief, identified the victim as Jerard Cabrillos of the said village.
Villasario said the victim was on his way to the town proper, when he reportedly overlapped to the roadside while approaching a curve portion of the road.
Villasario said that according to bystanders, Cabrillos smelled of alcohol and was believed to be speeding.
“Naglapaw siya sa dalan kag nag diretso dagdag sa canal,” he added.
Villasario said the victim hit his head on the ground that caused his death.
