ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A 40-year-old motorcycle rider died after the motorcycle he was driving crashed into the gutter of a bridge on Monday afternoon, April 6, at Sitio Talaba Bridge in Barangay Maninang, Sapian, Capiz.
The Sapian Municipal Police Station identified the victim only by the alias “Ronald,” a resident of Barangay Poblacion Sur, Ivisan, Capiz.
Based on the police investigation, the victim was on his way home from the town proper of Sapian when he lost control of his motorcycle and sideswiped the left gutter of the bridge.
Police said the victim sustained fatal head injuries and injuries to other parts of his body due to the impact.
Personnel from the Sapian Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office responded and brought the victim to Mambusao District Hospital, where the attending physician declared him dead on arrival.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
