Motorcycle Driver Killed in Sapian Truck Crash

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A motorcycle driver was killed after being hit by a tailing oil tanker truck on Saturday night, March 29, in Barangay Bilao, Sapian, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as alias “Jay,” 35, of Barangay Agtatacay Sur, Sapian.
The truck driver was identified as alias “Clarito” of Estancia, Iloilo.
An investigation by the Sapian Municipal Police Station showed that Jay was on his way home when the truck, traveling behind him, struck his motorcycle near a housing area in Barangay Bilao.
Jay sustained fatal head injuries and multiple bodily injuries and was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician at a nearby hospital.
The truck driver is currently in police custody at the Sapian Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.
Authorities are continuing their investigation.
