Motorcycle Driver Killed in Accidental Shooting

ROXAS CITY, Capiz—A motorcycle driver died after his firearm accidentally discharged following a fall from his motorcycle Sunday afternoon in Barangay Sta. Cruz, Ivisan, Capiz.
The Ivisan police said the incident occurred around 4:40 p.m.
The victim, identified as “Jobert,” 31, was driving his motorcycle with “Jericho,” 22, riding pillion. Both men were residents of Barangay Maalan, Maayon, Capiz.
According to the investigation, the motorcycle fell, causing a firearm in Jobert’s bag to discharge.
The bullet struck Jobert in the stomach. He was rushed to a hospital in Roxas City but died a few minutes later.
Jericho suffered minor injuries.
Authorities are investigating the firearm’s ownership.
