Motorcycle driver dies in crash with jeep in Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A 29-year-old motorcycle driver died after crashing into a jeep Monday morning, Dec. 22, in Barangay Agbalo, Panay, Capiz.
Police identified the victim as “Sander,” of Barangay Majanlud, Sapi-an, Capiz, who was driving a Suzuki Smash motorcycle.
The jeep driver was identified as “Ronald,” 62, of Barangay Tabuc, Pontevedra, Capiz.
According to a report from the Panay Municipal Police Station, the motorcycle was headed toward Barangay Agbalo when the driver attempted to overtake another jeep and collided with an oncoming jeep that was turning into the opposite lane.
Due to the strong impact, the victim sustained severe injuries to multiple parts of his body.
Responders from the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office in Panay brought the victim to Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital in Roxas City, where he was declared dead on arrival.
The jeep driver was unharmed and is now in the custody of the Panay police for proper disposition.
