Motorcycle driver dead in fatal collision in Dumarao, Capiz

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A 27-year-old motorcyclist lost his life after colliding with a stationary scrap passenger bus on the evening of Sunday, March 17, at Sitio Badbaranan, Brgy. Dacuton, Dumarao, Capiz.
Bhenir Emilio from Brgy. Dacuton was pronounced deceased upon arrival at the Sen. Gerry Roxas Memorial District Hospital in Dao town after his 150 Raider motorcycle struck the scrap passenger bus operated by Richard Bacarro, 47, of Brgy. Cagay.
The Dumarao Municipal Police Station’s preliminary findings reveal that the collision occurred while the scrap passenger bus was parked adjacent to the national road and was rear-ended by Bacarro.
The impact forcefully ejected the motorcycle rider causing fatal head injuries.
Dumarao’s Emergency Response Team swiftly attended to the scene, but the motorcyclist was declared dead by the attending physician upon arrival.
Police are actively investigating the circumstances of the tragedy. In the meantime, the driver of the scrap passenger bus has voluntarily presented himself to the authorities in Dumarao.
