Police identified one of the fatalities as Trophany, 41, of Escalante City, Negros Occidental.
His backrider remained unidentified.
Investigation showed that the motorcycle, driven by Trophany, was heading toward San Carlos City when it reportedly overtook a vehicle, lost control, and collided with the van driven by a 31-year-old Calatrava resident.
