The victims, identified only as “Ivy” and “Chalea,” were declared dead on the spot due to severe injuries.
A Cuartero Municipal Police Station investigation revealed the victims were traveling home from a hospital on a tricycle driven by Ivy’s husband, “Leomar,” 22, when the accident occurred.
An SUV, allegedly driven by “Clyde,” struck the tricycle from behind on the national highway.
The impact threw Ivy and her child onto the concrete pavement, where they were hit by an oncoming van driven by “Ben,” 46, of Roxas City.
Ivy was holding the infant on her lap when the collision happened.
