Until his arrest, Cachete was the No. 5 most wanted person in the city.
Cachete was the subject of two arrest warrants for the crimes of rape and violation of Republic Act 7610 (Anti-Child Abuse Law) issued by Judge Nilo M. Sarabia of the Regional Trial Court Branch 56 in Himamaylan City.
While the court recommended a Php120,000 bail for the RA 7610 charge, Cachete was not allowed to post bail for the rape case.
The suspect is presently detained at Himamaylan City Police Station.
