One of Capiz province’s most wanted persons was arrested Monday evening, March 31, at his home in Barangay Caidquid, Mambusao, Capiz.
Alias Nonoy, 70, a farmer, was taken into custody on a warrant for qualified rape under Articles 266-A and 266-B of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act 11648. The warrant was issued by the Regional Trial Court, Sixth Judicial Region, Branch 20, in Mambusao.
Nonoy is listed as the fourth most wanted person in Capiz province and second most wanted in Mambusao.
Brig. Gen. Josefino Ligan, Western Visayas police chief, commanded the arresting unit and said the operation reflects the police’s continuing effort to track down wanted persons and deliver justice to victims.
