More violators nabbed amid MGCQ

BACOLOD City – The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) arrested 393 violators of standard health protocols for coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) amid the Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ) here since June 1 to 3, 2020.
127 individuals were arrested on the first day of the MGCQ, while 116 others were collared the following day, and 150 more on the third day. They were nabbed in simultaneous operations on said days for failure to wear face masks and observe physical distancing, a report from the BCPO said.
The violators were charged for disobeying an executive order issued by Mayor Evelio Leonardia.
Based on the records of the BCPO, Police Station 10 has the highest number of arrested violators with 63; followed by Police Station 7 with 60; Mobile Patrol Group, 59; Police Station 4, 50; Police Stations 1 and 5, 35 each; Police Station 2, 27; Police Station 3, 17; Police Station 6, 15; Police Station 8, 13; Bacolod City Mobile Force Company, 11; and Police Station 9, 8.
BCPO recorded the highest number of arrests yesterday.
Violators will be facing charges for violation of Article 151 of the Revised Penal Code in relation to the provisions of the executive order.
