BACOLOD City – Fifteen persons were arrested while PHP324,132 worth of suspected shabu were seized in buy-bust operations here and in Negros Occidental from January 11 to 14.
In Bacolod City, an alleged high value target was arrested in Barangay Singcang-Airport yesterday, which led to the recovery of PHP102,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Police identified the suspect as Marc Plary Bayonita, 36, of Barangay Mambulac, Silay City.
According to a report from the Police Regional Office (PRO)-6, the suspect was released from jail in August 2020 after he was charged for illegal drugs in December 2019. He is detained at Police Station 8.
In addition to the Thursday drug haul, buy-bust operations were also conducted in the said village, and Barangays 2 and Handumanan last Tuesday, by personnel of Police Stations 5, 8, and 10, that resulted in the arrest of four other individuals.
In the province, drug bust operations were conducted in the cities of Kabankalan, Himamaylan, Bago, Silay, San Carlos, Victorias, Talisay, and the towns of Binalbagan, and Cauayan, that resulted in the apprehension of 10 persons, and confiscation of PHP159,332 worth of the same contraband.
