More than P500,000 ‘shabu’ seized from 24 persons

BACOLOD City – Police seized P530,215 worth of suspected shabu from 24 persons in separate anti-illegal drug operations here and in Negros Occidental from March 12 to 16.
The bulk of the drug recovery was reported in the province, with the confiscation of P428,215 worth of the said contraband.
A total of 20 individuals were apprehended in the cities of Kabankalan, Silay, Sagay, La Carlota, Bago, Victorias, Talisay, San Carlos, and Himamaylan, and the towns of Cauayan, Manapla, and Murcia.
Among the arrested persons in the province were a couple, a former seaman, and a tricycle driver.
In Bacolod, four persons were arrested while P102,000 worth of suspected shabu were seized.
The buy-bust operations were conducted by Police Stations 2, 7, and 8 in Barangays 2, Alijis, and Singcang-Airport, respectively.
