MORE Electric and Power Corporation (MORE Power) has been named Grand Winner for CSR Company of the Year at the 2025 Asia CEO Awards held on Oct. 14 at the Manila Marriott Grand Ballroom.
The recognition places MORE Power at the forefront of corporate social responsibility in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia.
Presented by Innodata, the award honors companies with outstanding and impactful CSR programs that deliver lasting benefits to communities.
MORE Power was recognized for its strong commitment to environmental protection, livelihood initiatives, and youth empowerment.
Its CSR programs were praised for being both significant in scope and sustainable in impact.
“Corporate social responsibility is the gold standard for being recognized as a premier company in the Philippines,” said Janet Petilla, vice president for project delivery at Innodata Knowledge Services.
“Companies dedicated to CSR are recognized for their integrity, attracting the best people, the most loyal customers,” Petilla added.
“Their success proves that caring for the community and the nation is inseparable from corporate excellence.”
MORE Power expressed gratitude for the award and reaffirmed its commitment to people-focused and environmentally driven CSR programs.
The company pledged to continue initiatives that empower communities and promote inclusive, sustainable development.
Since 2020, MORE Power has served as the electric distribution utility for Iloilo City, where it has implemented several grassroots CSR efforts.
The firm stood out among a competitive group of finalists that included AXA Philippines, Concentrix Philippines, Gardenia Bakeries (Philippines) Inc., and Hewlett Packard Enterprise.
Other contenders were Genpact, Opentext, PJ Lhuillier Inc., PLDT and Smart, Robinsons Land Corporation, SixEleven Global Services, White & Case LLP, and Wipro Philippines Inc.
The Asia CEO Awards is considered the largest business awards program in Southeast Asia, celebrating leadership and excellence across industries.
The CSR Company of the Year award was presented by Asia CEO Awards Chairman Richard Mills to MORE Power President and CEO Roel Z. Castro at the Manila House in Bonifacio Global City.
