MORE Electric and Power Corporation said it is 100% prepared for the Dinagyang 2026 celebration, assuring residents and visitors of heightened monitoring and operational readiness across Iloilo City.
In a statement, Engineer Roy Majarucon, manager of line construction, maintenance, and metering operations, said line teams have already conducted inspections in the judging areas to help ensure stable service during major festival activities.
MORE Power said the work in and around the judging areas included transformer load testing, thermal scanning, and other necessary maintenance measures to address potential issues before the celebration period.
The company said its deployment plan for response and line teams is already complete, with crews scheduled to be on duty and monitoring the power situation from Jan. 22–25, 2026.
MORE Power said it has deployed 13 Line Teams, 26 Response Teams, and 4 Quick Response Teams to provide 24-hour monitoring throughout the city during the festival window.
The utility also said its entire operations force is prepared to assist the Iloilo Festivals Foundation Incorporated in setting up necessary power lines, from the food festivals to Kasadyahan sa Kabanwahanan and the Ati Tribe Competition at all judging areas.
MORE Power said there will be no scheduled power interruptions during the Dinagyang 2026 celebration.
The company added that its Control Center and Customer Helpline will remain on 24-hour standby to respond to consumer inquiries while festivities are ongoing.
MORE Power’s safety officers also reminded residents and festival-goers to remain cautious and to properly secure balloons, warning that drifting balloons can potentially cause unscheduled power interruptions.
Dinagyang is Iloilo City’s signature festival, drawing large crowds to street performances and judging events, which typically increase demand for reliable power and rapid-response capability in high-traffic areas.
