MORE Power assured the public that their operations remain normal even as three of its personnel tested positive for COVID-19.
In a statement, the distribution utility in Iloilo City confirmed that the two employees were assigned to its Network Operations Department that is based in its corporate office in Quezon St., City Proper.
Both personnel and the persons they have been in contact with were immediately placed under quarantine while they await their swab test results. In keeping with IATF guidelines and health protocols, we are also cooperating with health officials in their contact tracing efforts to ensure that the virus does not spread,” the statement said.
While its Customer Service Office at Hotel Del Rio is unaffected, meter installations and technical inspections will be conducted by a skeletal work force.
MORE Power’s Corporate Office was immediately disinfected as this has become standard practice since the start of the pandemic.
“We apologize for any convenience that this may cause and thank you for your understanding as we do our best to fight this pandemic by protecting our employees and the public,” it added.
To recall, a Customer Service Office employee of MORE Power was the first to be infected with COVID-19 two weeks ago.
But the 26 other CSO workers tested negative including Two Hotel del Rio workers who were also close contacts of the index case.
