ROXAS CITY, Capiz – 6,300 doses of Moderna COVID-19 vaccines arrived Tuesday morning at the Roxas City airport.
Gov. Esteban “Nonoy” Contreras personally received the doses that were delivered via Cebu Pacific.
Last Saturday, the national government sent 20,000 vials of Sinovac vaccines, 5,850 doses of Pfizer jabs also arrived in the province.
Meanwhile, around 17.60 percent of Capiceños have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
Based on the record of the Provincial Health Office, 95,862 persons have been inoculated out of the 544,670 target population.
This means that 75.04 percent of the total target population has yet to be vaccinated.
Roxas City has the highest number of vaccination coverage at 22.19%.
