BACOLOD City – The Police Regional Office (PRO)-6 will deploy more police officers on the ground to secure this year’s Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (BSKE) elections.
Police Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor, PRO-6 director, said that police assigned to offices will be visible in the streets in preparation for the elections.
“Babawasan muna natin administrative jobs nila. Lahat sila sa kalsada muna magtrabaho in anticipation of the BSKE,” Villaflor said.
Villaflor said they are now making preparations so that they will not be starting from scratch.
He, however, did not elaborate further while waiting for guidance from the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
The BSKE is scheduled on October 30.
