More cops deployed in La Castellana town

BACOLOD City Mayor Rhumyla Nicor Mangilimutan of La Castellana, Negros Occidental said additional police officers were deployed to the town in connection with the May 13, 2019 elections.
The deployment was made after the Commission on Elections (Comelec) together with the PNP and the military held the 5th district coordinating conference in La Castellana on May 2.
Mangilimutan said the newly deployed police forces will augment the police force in the town.
Mangilimutan and Isabela town Mayor Joselito Malabor expressed apprehension on the presence of unidentified armed in the upland barangays of their localities.
Both officials called on their constituents to exercise their right to vote on May 13, 2019.
They also appealed to law enforcers to be fair and ensure a clean, honest, and credible election.
