ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Three more construction workers from Capiz are stranded in Antique.
The three Capizeño construction workers from Mambusao, Capiz are in a quarantine facility of Atabay Elementary School in San Jose de Buenavista, Antique.
According to Ronilo Ledesma, he and two other fellow workers first sought the help of Mambusao Mayor Leodegario Labao Jr. to allow them to go home.
But the mayor instead brought them to the quarantine facility in Antique on board the town’s ambulance with nurses and police as escort.
Ledesma said they are 61 individuals under quarantine in Antique, including them.
He and Dino Ledesma and Ruel Adolfo are hoping to go home to Mambusao after their 14-day quarantine period. The three have thanked local officials of Mambusao for the assistance extended to them.
The three were among the construction workers affected by the lockdown due to the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
It can be recalled that three construction workers are also stranded in the border of Iloilo-Capiz.
