BACOLOD City – The local government of Moises Padilla in Negros Occidental will begin building a food court this month.
Mayor Ella Celestina Garcia-Yulo led the groundbreaking ceremony Friday at the town’s public market. Also present were Councilor Jimmy Don Plaza and Punong Barangays Eldon Estacion of Barangay 5, and Madison Labaosas of Barangay 2.
The PHP3.7-million budget for the food court is sourced from the local government.
Yulo said it will have a floor area of 390 square meters with 12 stalls in its first phase that is expected to be completed sometime in May.
Another 120 square meters and four more stalls will be added on its second phase.
The food court was designed by the town’s market supervisor, Jacinto Aurelio, who is also an engineer; and Engineer Edilberto Sait, Jr.
Both were present during the groundbreaking, along with Municipal Engineer Agnes Glia Mabag, and the Market Vendors’ Association of Moises Padilla, according to Condrado D. Garcia, Executive Assistant II, Office of the Mayor.
